The inauguration took place on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Ghadir on Friday.
In the opening ceremony, President Raisi said that the issue of health is of priority for his government and that the administration is trying to construct numerous health centers.
He also said that people of the region and Central Asia prefer to travel to Iran for treatment than to European hospitals and that is because it is more economical for them.
Ghadir Hospital has been built in five 13-floor blocks in an area of 6.2 hectares.
The construction operation of the 821-bed hospital kicked off in 2012 and was carried out by Iran’s top contractor, Khatam al-Anbiya base.
The hospital also has smart operating rooms with 24 beds; special CCU, NICU, and ICU wards; equipment for brain angiography, imaging, dialysis, and physiotherapy; LDR rooms, super specialty clinics, laboratories, and a modern emergency room equipped with an air heliport.
